Located at Thunder Bay Marina on Grand Lake in Duck Creek near Afton, Oklahoma, Ugly’s Grill & Bar has been a Grand Lake tradition since 1991. After a recent renovation, Ugly’s is now home to one of the newest and nicest ship store facilities on the lake, along with the laid-back bar atmosphere locals and boaters have loved for decades.

Following a recent renovation, Ugly’s now features a 43-foot bar, plenty of bar-height and traditional seating, and multiple TVs throughout the space so you never miss the action.

It’s the perfect place to cool off after a day on the water, grab a drink with friends, and settle in for a game or a sunset on Grand Lake.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the drinks are cold, and the crowd always feels like family.

Ship Store & Soda Shop

Just steps away from the grill, you’ll find the Thunder Bay Marina Ship Store, recently renovated and considered one of the nicest ship stores on Grand Lake.

Inside you’ll find boating essentials, Ugly John’s merchandise, and a fully operational 1950s-style soda shop built around a restored 1958 Bastion-Blessing Metropolitan fountain — serving classic malts, shakes, floats, sundaes, and old-fashioned sodas.
